Conservation District Supervisor
Requirements:
1. Must be a landowner
2. Must reside in the county you are running in
3. Must be an active or retired “farmer.” Farmer is defined by anyone who has or has the potential to generate $1,000 worth of income from their land for agricultural or resource extraction – this is nearly every property owner
4. 5 years of land management experience
5. Must be interested in the conservation of natural resources
Candidates must file at their county courthouse and pay a $10 fee. Elected members of the committee earn per diem expenses and mileage to attend the monthly meetings.
