Information regarding registering citizens to vote:
You can get a small stack of voter registration forms from the County Clerk at the Courthouse.

While individuals may register online or in the driver license process, the paper form on a clipboard is your opportunity to have a personal dialog.
Important elements:
— Have registrant fill out the whole affidavit, sign and date.
— Affirm the WV address. The clerk confirmed there is a culling process when voter-related mail is returned.
— Note the presence of a WV driver’s license OR give the last four digits of the social security number. (This is the documentation that counters the false notion that non-citizens are voting.)
— Assure that the registrant selects a party, any party. If left blank, the court will assign “no party.” Do not pressure for one party or another. Note: To vote for Republicans in this primary, voters must be registered Republican. People can choose the Democratic ballot as long as they are NOT Republican.
— Retain the signed form and get it to the courthouse. The registrant may do so if they prefer, or mail it in, but in your hands it’s a sure thing.
— If the citizen is even a little unsure about registration status (including current address or party), find and confirm that information here.
Where to register/reregister voters is up to you! One option is a gathering you are attending or hosting already — a club, a bar, the gym; anywhere you are welcome for this non-partisan activity.
The deadline for registration to vote in the May 12 primary — which is the final for the non-partisan races — is April 21.
